Episode 45 “Avatar”; Favorite Christmas films

This Sunday before Christmas, Logan had a lot to look into. We were sad to announce the sudden death of actress and singer Brittney Murphy, who passed away Sunday Dec 20, 2009 from a massive heart attack. Brittney was well known from “Clueless”, “8 Mile” and other movies. She was also the voice of Luane Platter on King of the Hill. Brittney Murphy was 32 years old at the time of her untimely death.

Logan then gives the listeners a mini review of the brand new James Cameron film “Avatar”. Avatar brings live action and CGI together seamlessly for a alien world named Pandora, and the battle that goes on there between humans and the native Na’vi. The film stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang, and Sigourney Weaver. The film is 2 hours and 42 minutes long, so pack a lunch to bring with you. Also if there is a IMAX 3D theater in your area, go see the film that way. The film is in 3D and old fashion regular 2D.

Next Logan and co-host Gartex look at their favorite Christmas films and specials. Logan listed 6, from classics films and more recent. What does he have on the list, and how could he not include “A Christmas Story” in his list. Gartex and our callers then give us their opinions on some of the best…and worse, of the holiday shows. Logan then closes out the program by playing an audio clip that is the story of the news article “Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus”. This is a great way to close out the show.

Logan and cast want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Next Week: Logan looks into some of the best movies of the past decade.
